Oilers Fall 1-0 to ODU

Columbus, OH- The University of Findlay women's soccer team took on Ohio Dominican University on Saturday, March 27th in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference contest. The Oilers were defeated 1-0 against the Panthers making their record fall to 1-1-1 for the season.

Although the Oilers were able to outshoot the Panthers throughout the contest, both in the shots (15 to 11) and shots on goal (9 to 5) category, the Panthers were able to stop the Oilers attack and hold on to the one goal victory with their lone goal in the 16th minute.

The Oilers offense was led by junior Olivia Frank who contributed four shots, three of which were shots on goal. Junior Adele Stradling and sophomore Elizabeth Talabac each tallied three shots a piece including two that were on goal. Five other Oilers had at least one shot attempt as well.

Defending the goal was freshman Kennedy Slovak who accounted for four saves allowing one goal in her first loss of the season.

The Oilers will be back in action on Thursday, April 1st at 1:00 p.m. when they take on the visiting Lake Erie College.
