Oilers Beat Panthers | Win G-MAC Regular Season Title

The University of Findlay women's soccer team won their sixth straight game and secured their second straight Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) regular season title with a 4-0 win over Kentucky Wesleyan College on April 19 in Owensboro, Ky. The Oilers will enter the conference tournament as the top seed with a 7-1-1 record.

The Oilers came into the final game of the regular season needing a win to secure the regular season title and wasted no time in getting the lead as freshman Ellie Tischler scored unassisted in the sixth minute of the contest. Junior Olivia Frank would then add a goal off of an assist from sophomore Addie Graham in the 24th minute as the Oilers took a 2-0 lead into the break.

Sophomore Elizabeth Talabc put the Oilers up 3-0 when she scored just 1:27 into the second half and Tischler recorded her second goal of the game off of an assist from freshman Anna Meixner less than a minute later to seal the deal.

The Oilers outshot the Panthers 31-7 in the game and freshman Kennedy Slovak picked up the victory by making four saves in front of the net.

The Oilers will now host the first round of the G-MAC Tournament on April 24 at DeHaven Field. Tickets prices are as follows:
