The University of Findlay women's soccer team tied Lake Erie College 1-1 in double overtime on Sep. 16 in Painesville, Ohio. The tie gives the Oilers a 1-1-1 record on the year with a 0-0-1 mark in Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play.
The Storm jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 17th minute of the game and then the Oilers answered in the 62nd minute when senior Sami Hild scored. Neither team could generate any offense down the stretch however as the played to a draw.
Sophomore Kennedy Slovak made one save in goal for Findlay as the Oilers outshot the Storm 10-3. They also had a 9-0 advantage in corner kicks during the game.
The Oilers will be back in action again on Saturday when they host Kentucky Wesleyan. The game is scheduled to start at 1pm on DeHaven Field.
