Oilers Finish Off Strong in Last Home Game of Season

The University of Findlay's Womens soccer team defeated the Lake Erie College Storm at home on Oct. 21 by a score of 2-1. This improves the Oilers record to 10-1-2 on the season and 9-0-2 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference. The Oilers are still in first place with only 3 games left in the season.

Both goalies kept the game close through the first half of play as neither of them allowed a goal to be scored.

The Oilers scored the only goal of the game in the 51st minute from a wild unassisted goal courtesy of sophomore Madeline Nartker.

Sophomore goalkeeper Kennedy Slovak earned her 10th career shutout and secured 5 saves bringing her season total to 51.

The Oilers will head to Ashland on Oct. 23 to take on the Eagles in a battle for sole possession of 1st place in the G-MAC.
