Oilers Take Down KWC on Senior Day

Findlay, OH- The University of Findlay Women's Soccer team took on the Kentucky Wesleyan College Panthers at home on Saturday Oct 15. The Oilers looked to advance their 7-4-2 overall record and their 6-3-1 record in Great Midwest Athletic Conference play. 

Findlay started out hot with a goal in the 10th minute off the foot of senior Elizabeth Talabac, assisted by junior Alyssa Stark to give the Oilers a 1-0 lead.  

Senior Madison Mlsna would find the back of the net in the 15th minute of the game off an assist from fellow senior Sage Schnell.  

Mlsna would get back in the action in the 22nd minute, this time with the assist to junior Ellie Tischler to give the Oilers a 3-0 lead through the first half.  

Talabac would find the back of the next later in the second half unassisted to give the Oilers the 4-0 lead where it would stay for the rest of the game.  

Freshmen Audrey Gibson-Zweifel started in goal for the Oilers and Maria White would come in to close of the game in goal for Findlay.  

With the win the Oilers moved to 8-4-2 on the season and 7-3-1 in the G-MAC with only 2 weeks remaining in the regular season. Findlay will be back on the field on Wednesday Oct 19 when they travel to Tennesse to take on the Trevecca Nazarene Trojans.
