Oilers Take 5-1 win over Trevecca | Advance to 9-4-2

Nashville, TN- The University of Findlay Women's Soccer team traveled to Nashville on Oct 19 to take on the Trevecca Nazarene University for their third to last conference game of the season. Coming into the contest the Oilers boasted an 8-4-2 overall record and a 7-3-1 record in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference. 

The Oilers came out of the gate hot with a goal in the 16th minute of play off the foot of freshman Payton Miller on an assist from senior Sage Schnell

Junior Hannah Rybicki would match her teammate with a goal of her own in the 20th minute, this till off an assist from senior Madison Mlsna

The Trojans would bring the score to 2-1 in the 30th minute of play to round out the scoring for the first half of play. 

Junior Ellie Tischler had back to back goals for the Oilers less than 2 minutes apart early in the second half of play to give the Oilers a 4-1 lead. Her first goal came off an assist from Payton Miller and her second from freshmen Kennedy Jensen.

Hannah Rybicki would continue the action with an unassisted goal in the 73rd minute of play to give Findlay a 5-1 lead.

Senior Kennedy Slovak would start in goal for the Oilers and record 1 save in the first 45 minutes of the game. Freshmen Audrey Gibson-Zweifel played the second 45 minutes in goal for the Oilers and recorded 4 saves. 

With the win the Oilers advance to 9-4-2 on the season and 8-3-1 in the G-MAC. Findlay will be back at home on Saturday Oct 22 when they take on the Ashland Eagles at DeHaven at 1 PM.
