Women's Tennis Earns All-Academic Awards from ITA

Findlay, Ohio – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced its' Division II Academic Awards for the 2021-22 season and the University of Findlay women's team placed 11 athletes on the list and earned status as a Division II All-Academic Team, as well.

Individually, senior Eliza Kirov, senior Laura Brito, senior Laiying Alvarado, senior Cristina Nieto Soto, senior Luciana Pereyra, junior Madison Arquette, sophomore Emily Hadler, sophomore Reagan Resor, freshman Lidia Laskova, freshman Zuzanna Krygier, and freshman Elina Ivanova all earned scholar-athlete awards from the ITA.

To earn all-academic honors, individuals must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher while a team must have a combined GPA of 3.2 or higher.

Within the sport of tennis, student-athletes continue to exceed expectations in the classroom and on the court. In 2022, 715 Division II Women's student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete and 110 women's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.
