The University of Findlay volleyball team improved to 8-3 overall and 1-1 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) with a 3-0 (25-18, 25-19, 25-17) win over Lake Erie on Saturday, September 21 in Painsville, Ohio.
The Oilers were led offensively by sophomore Julie Lyons, who had nine kills and a .615 hitting percentage.
Collecting seven kills was senior standout Danielle Taflinger and senior Mackenzie Vorst chipped in with six kills of her own.
Aiding the offense was junior Amanda Calhoun, who collected 26 assists in the match. She also had five kills and hit .444 in the win.
Findlay returns to the court next Friday, September 27 at 7pm with a road contest at Lake Superior State University.
