The Findlay University volleyball team improved their record to 8-3 (1-1 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) with an impressive 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 25-21) win on the road vs. Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste. Marie, MI on Friday, September 27.
For the Oilers, senior Danielle Taflinger, senior Mackenzie Vorst, and sophomore Julie Lyons each put down eight kills. Lyons was particularly stellar as she posted a .333 hitting percentage and collected four blocks in the victory.
Aiding the offense was junior setter Amanda Calhoun, who posted 30 assists for Findlay.
Junior Lindsy Reindel added four kills while senior Brittany Hall led the defense with eight digs.
The Oilers return home to Croy Gymnasium Tuesday, October 1 at 7:30, following their lengthy road trip, with a GLIAC matchup that pits Findlay vs. Warriors of Wayne State University.
