Findlay Holds Off Trevecca Nazarene in Five Sets

Findlay, Ohio - The University of Findlay women's volleyball team remained perfect on the season in a thrilling match against Trevacca Nazarene in five sets (26-28, 25-20, 26-28, 25-18, 15-7) on Saturday, January 23. This gives the Oilers an early 2-0 record on the season, while Travecca Nazarene drops to 0-2 on the year.

Findlay saw a steady dose of different attackers as three Oilers reached double digits in kills. Senior Rylie Pattison had the team high in kills with 19 in the match. Freshman Hannah Warrington added 15 kills for the Orange and Black. Junior Emily Annesser had 13 kills of her own, and had a hitting percentage of 0.579, which was a team high. Annesser also had 14 assists and 12 digs to add to the stat sheet. 

Defensively, the Oilers were led by senior Alana Sundermann, who recorded 20 digs. Senior Madison Moore contributed 12 digs for the home team.

Junior Abigail Schroeder led the team with 32 assists, while also coming away with 10 digs. 

The Oilers will be back in action on Friday, January 29 when they will travel to Walsh University to take on the Cavaliers. The match is set to start at 7:00pm.
