Oilers Top Dragons in Five Set Thriller

Findlay, Ohio- The University of Findlay volleyball team competed on Thursday, March 4th against their cross town rival Tiffin University. In the final game before the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Tournament, the Oilers topped the Dragons in a five set thriller (25-16, 22-25, 25-23, 23-25, 15-10) to improve to 8-2 on the season. With the loss, the Dragons fall to 6-5.

The Oilers were led by Hannah Warrington with 20 digs. Rylie Pattison contributed 18 kills while Madison Moore added 15 kills. Moore also tallied four blocks (2 solo, 2 assisted) on the evening. Lexi Sauber had three blocks (1 solo, 2 assisted) as well for the Oilers.

On the defensive side, Olivia Morrison led the way with 29 digs, the sixth-highest single-match total in school history. Alissa Rhodes tallied 22 digs of her own to go along with 27 assists. Abigail Schroeder contributed 28 assists to lead the Oilers in that category.

The Oilers will host the G-MAC quarterfinal on Tuesday, March 9th with the time and opponent to be determined based off the final standings.
