Volleyball Achieves Program's Highest Final Ranking in AVCA Poll

AVCA Poll

Findlay, Ohio – The University of Findlay volleyball team, which last competed March 9, has been ranked 19th in the final American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Poll which was released on Wednesday, April 28. The ranking is just the second appearance in the final AVCA Top 25 Poll in the NCAA DII history of the program and the first since 2001 when the Oilers finished the season ranked 21st.

This season, Findlay jumped into the AVCA Poll in week two, February 10, after starting the season 5-1. The Oilers debuted at no. 13, the program's highest-ever ranking in the poll. Since their debut in that poll, Findlay never left the top 25, spending the next 11 weeks in the poll including remaining ranked in the eight weeks after the Oilers' season came to an end.

In the 2021 spring campaign, Findlay finished with a record of 9-3 and had five players named all-conference, highlighted by G-MAC Freshman of the Year and first team recipient, Hannah Warrington. Madison Moore, Rylie Pattison, and Emily Annesser all earned second team while Abigail Schroeder made third team.
