The Oilers Journey to Victory | Findlay Dominates Tiffin

The University of Findlay women's volleyball team took on Tiffin University in a three-set match (25-17, 25-14, 25-14) on Friday Oct. 22 in Niekamp Arena. This brings the Oilers to a 12-6 record on the year and 8-2 in conference play. 

The Oilers were led by freshman Journey Blevins. She had 19 kills on 33 attempts leading her to hit an impressive .515. She also contributed 3 aces, 8 digs, and a block.  

Assisting Blevins was senior Madison Moore and sophomore Hannah Warrington. Moore contributed 7 kills and 4 blocks. Warrington had 6 kills on the night.  

On the defensive side, senior Ashton Terrill had 16 digs and was assisted by sophomore Alissa Rhodes with 8 digs. Junior Laina Sansotta recorded three blocks.  

Senior Abigail Schroeder had 34 assists in the match and added 7 digs. 

The Oilers hit .287 for the match. The Oilers held Tiffin to a kill percentage of .01 for the match. In the final set, the Oilers held Tiffin to a -.025 hitting percentage to pick up the win.  

The Oilers are back in action Saturday, Oct. 23 against Ashland in Croy Gymnasium.
