Oilers Win Eight Straight | Roll Past Malone

Findlay, Ohio- The University of Findlay volleyball team welcomed Malone University to campus for a Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) today Tuesday, Sep. 27. The Oilers won 3-1 (25-17, 19-25, 25-13, 25-21). They move to 10-7 on the year and 7-0 in the G-MAC They continue their winning streak, winning eight in a row. The Malone Pioneers meanwhile falls to 7-9 on the year and 4-4 in the G-MAC. 

The Oilers hit .264 on the match, picking up 53 kills and only making 15 errors. The Pioneers struggled as they only hit .071 on the match, recording 38 kills and 28 errors. 

Findlay was led by sophomore Journey Blevins who recorded 20 kills and hit .286. The three consecutive offensive G-MAC Athlete of the Week also contributed seven digs and two blocks. 

Assisting Blevins were seniors Natalie Maras and Norah Painter who both recorded 7 kills. Painter hit .235 while Maras hit .304. Freshman Alana Pohlman contributed 11 kills. 

Freshman Emma White recorded 46 assists and 10 digs.  

The Oilers will be back in action Friday, Sep. 30 as they take on Ohio Dominican at 6pm on the road.
