Oilers Compete at #JennaStrong Fall Classic
The University of Findlay men's and women's cross country team competed today, October 13, in the #JennaStrong Fall Classic in Wilmington, Ohio. The men placed second as a team with a score of 135 and the women took ninth with a score of 341.
Men's Results
Leading the men's squad was sophomore Ty Gleason who finished 18th with a time of 26:36.5. Close behind came junior Jonathan Allen (26:38.3) in 19th and junior Michael Taylor (26:47.9) in 23rd.
Junior Austin Guthrie came in 37th with a time of 27:13.5, while freshman Jack Adams (27:45.7) took 65th and junior Tyler Beck (27:45.7) took 76th.
Also competing for the Oilers were freshman Daniel Agbola (30:32.4), sophomore Dylan Jacobs (32:25.5), freshman Joe Lauck (33:42.5).
Women's Results
On the women's team, senior Taylor Bolinger finished with a time of 19:09.2 which was good enough for 10th place. Next came sophomore Madison Borer (20:23.0) in 53rd, and sophomore Jenna Shipman (20:52.6) in 71st.
Also competing for the Oilers were junior Torrie Purdy (21:03.5), freshman Matilda Jeruto (22:51.6), and sophomore Sidney Towalski (23:15.4).
Next Up
The Oilers will be back in action next Saturday, October 21 where they will compete in the G-MAC Championship in Nashville, Tennessee.
