Oilers Complete Tiffleberg | Women 2nd, Men 3rd

Results

The University of Findlay men and women's cross country teams completed the Tiffleberg Open on Oct. 2 in Tiffin, Ohio. The women took second place at the event with 56 points while the men were third with 81 points.

The women were led by junior Gabrielle Lawrenece and her third place finish. Lawrence crossed the finish line in 22:17.7, the sixth-fastest time in school history.

Freshman Baylee Hack also ran well for the Oilers and took home an eighth place finish with a time of 22:44.5, the 12th-best time in school history, while fellow freshman Hailey Wilson posted a time of 23:12.1 to place 11th at the meet.

Freshman Maya Hamsher came in 18th with a time of 23:34.3 and was followed by sophomore Morgan Gaskins who took 21st at 23:43.8. Sophomore Meghan Donoher was 24th after posting a time of 23:50.5 while junior London Moening was 31st at 24:26.9.

Freshman Justine Hunt came in 33rd at 24:34.7 and freshman Natalie Dayharsh was 35th with a time of 24:41.5 to round out the Findlay runners competing in Tiffin.

On the men's side, freshman Gabriel Foster raced to a fourth place finish with a time of 25:47.9 to lead the squad. His time was the 14th-best in school history.

Freshman Jordan Foster posted a time of 26:41.5 to come in 13th while freshman Colin Moats and Senior Ryan Kohout placed 16th and 21st, respectively. Moats crossed the finish line in 26:48.9 while Kohout finished with a time of 26:55.7.

Junior Wade Hopkins finished 27th with a time of 27:11.8, freshman Devon Bill was 36th at 28:04.2, junior Will Nowak placed 39th at 28:18.0, sophomore Dylan Hunter was 43rd at 28:50.4, and freshman Aidan Ruiz crossed the finish line in 30:43.5 to take 53rd.

The Oilers will be back in action again on Oct. 24 when they compete in the 2020 Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Championship in Tiffin, Ohio.
