Winzeler Earns G-MAC Player of the Week

Findlay, Ohio – On Monday, Oct. 21, after a 41-16 statement win against Hillsdale College, ending the Chargers' 14-game conference win streak, University of Findlay quarterback Matt Winzeler has earned Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Offensive Player of the Week.

Findlay's junior quarterback was in command of the offense all day and played arguably his best game to-date. The Toledo, Ohio native completed 21-of-31 passes for 197 yards and set a new career-high with four touchdown passes. He also rushed the ball three times for 26 yards including a first quarter touchdown that set the tone for the day offensively.

Monday marks the second time this season that Winzeler has earned Offensive Player of the Week and the sixth time this year the Oilers have had a Player of the Week selection.
