Bailey and Rigerman Named First Team All-Region by D2CCA

D2CCA Super Region 1 Release

Findlay, Ohio - On Thursday, Dec. 2, the Division 2 Conference Commissioners' Association (D2CCA) announced its selections for the NCAA Division II All-Region teams. Findlay, which plays in Super Region 1, had two players selected as offensive lineman Logan Bailey and tight end Mike Rigerman each earned spots on the first team. As a conference, the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) had ten players selected, six of which earned first team. Findlay and Ohio Dominican were the only two teams in the conference with multiple first team selections.

Senior Logan Bailey has earned his second D2CCA honor this season after being named second team in 2019. This year, Bailey, the G-MAC Offensive Lineman of the Year, was a mainstay on the offensive line. The left tackle from Defiance, Ohio has started in 45 consecutive games for Findlay. In 2021, Bailey blocked for an offense that scored more than 30 points per game and rushed for nearly 200 yards per game, as well. During his career, the Oilers offense has averaged 37 points per game with Bailey on the offensive line. This season, the 6-6, 325 lineman is a nominee for the Gene Upshaw award which is given to the nation's top offensive or defensive lineman.

Earning his first nod as an all-region selection is tight end Mike Rigerman who was the top vote-getter at his position. The Arcade, NY native finished the year with 40 receptions for 493 yards and six touchdowns, the most receiving touchdowns by a tight end in the conference. Rigerman capped his season with a game to remember, picking up 178 yards and a touchdown against Shepherd last Saturday. Just a sophomore, Rigerman is poised to become one of the all-time great tight ends at Findlay and is the first tight end in the NCAA era of the program to earn first team all-conference in back-to-back seasons. Rigerman is the first tight end to earn D2CCA First Team all-Region in program history.

As first team selections, Bailey and Rigerman will now be placed on the ballot for D2CCA All-American status which will be voted on by sports information personnel across the country.
