2021 Don Hansen NCAA Division II All-America

On January 31, the Don Hansen Football Committee announced its selections for the NCAA Division II All-American teams. Findlay had two players selected as offensive lineman Logan Bailey and tight end Mike Rigerman each earned spots on the honorable mention team adding to their list of acomplishments on the year. As a conference, the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) had seven players selected. This is both Findlay players first year making this list.

Senior Logan Bailey also earned second team All-American from the Assosiated Press. This year, Bailey, the G-MAC Offensive Lineman of the Year, was a mainstay on the offensive line. The left tackle from Defiance, Ohio has started in 45 consecutive games for Findlay. In 2021, Bailey blocked for an offense that scored more than 30 points per game and rushed for nearly 200 yards per game, as well. During his career, the Oilers offense has averaged 37 points per game with Bailey on the offensive line. This season, the 6-6, 325 lineman is a nominee for the Gene Upshaw award which is given to the nation's top offensive or defensive lineman.

Earning his first Don Hansen All-American selection is tight end Mike Rigerman. The Arcade, NY native finished the year with 40 receptions for 493 yards and six touchdowns, the most receiving touchdowns by a tight end in the conference. Rigerman capped his season with a game to remember, picking up 178 yards and a touchdown against Shepherd during the last game of the season.. Just a sophomore, Rigerman is poised to become one of the all-time great tight ends at Findlay and is the first tight end in the NCAA era of the program to earn first team all-conference in back-to-back seasons. Rigerman is also the first tight end to earn an All-American bid in program history.
