Findlay Mourns Loss of Former Offensive Lineman Miles Davis

The University of Findlay is mourning the loss of a recent student-athlete, football player Miles Davis, who was found dead in his home on the morning of Sunday, March 20, 2022. He was 29 years old.

"Miles was recruited in the first class and was one of the building blocks that helped shape this program", commented Head Coach Rob Keys. "His confidence and determination always inspired others. He was gifted in so many ways. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. The Oiler family is deeply saddened and will miss #75."

Davis was a member of the first recruiting class of football head coach Rob Keys and began his time at Findlay in 2011. An offensive lineman, Davis worked his way up the depth chart and  by his senior year, had earned a starting spot in the trenches. After his senior season, he returned to Findlay as an assistant to the coaching staff for one season.

Offensive line coach Kory Allen said, "Originally recruited as a DL, Miles made the move to the OL early in his career and I will forever be glad that he did.  The energy and passion he brought to the meeting room and practice field was infectious.  We will certainly miss #75, he was Orange & Black through and through."

There will be a celebration of life for Miles is his hometown of Berea, Ohio on Saturday, March 26. Proud of his time in the Orange and Black, Davis will be laid to rest wearing his Findlay #75 jersey.
