Findlay Oilers (1-2, 0-2 G-MAC)

Findlay got the first win on the board last week and with that momentum, look to even their record this weekend with an unfamiliar opponent.

The Oilers seemed to find their groove last week as they exploded for 52 points offensively and, in the second half, turned up the pressure, allowing just seven points after the break.

Senior quarterback Jeremy Hunt put together his best performance last week and was awarded with the G-MAC Offensive Player of the Week after throwing for almost 300 yards and four touchdowns in just his third start with the program. On the year, Hunt is completing 58% of his passes and has almost 600 yards and six touchdowns.

He has shared the ball well as five players have four or more receptions through three games this year. The leader in that category is the Oilers' do-it-all junior wide out Tanner Schroeder who has 14 receptions for 158 yards. Tight end Mike Rigerman has nine receptions for 148 yards and three scores, two of which came last week. Freshman receiver Bryan Hunt made his name known last week with a pair of impressive touchdown grabs, as well. He now has four catches, two of which are for scores.

Running the ball has been a struggle so far, but the bright spot has been sophomore Garret Clark who had his way last week against Southwest Baptist. To date, Clark has 34 carries for 186 yards and a score and last week became the first back to eclipse the 100-yard mark for the Oilers this season.

Defensively, junior linebacker Grey Brancifort has been the leader, flying around the field to the tune of 33 tackles including a half-tackle-for-loss. At defensive back, senior Marqis Stokes has 25 stops and a TFL while defensive back Kijana Caldwell has 23 tackles and a sack. Senior Jeremiah Jackson has 20 tackles and has the only interception for Findlay this season.

About the Opponent – North Greenville (1-2, 1-0 GSC)

North Greenville, which last year won the NCAA Division II Baseball National Championship, has historically hovered around the .500 mark as a program and has had four losing seasons in a row. That said, the 1-2 record this season may be misleading.

The Crusaders opened their season with a 52-0 loss to Division I Furman University, but followed that up with a tightly contested matchup with #13 Newberry, a game NGU lost 29-22. The lone win of the season came last week against Mississippi College, a 41-19 win in which NGU scored 21 points in the fourth quarter to secure the victory.

Freshman quarterback Dylan Ramirez will be the starter for NGU and is coming off a week in which he won GSC Freshman of the Week. To date, Ramirez is 34-for-53 for 488 yards and three scores and has rushed 18 times for 77 yards.

On the ground, Corey Watkins has 25 carries for 196 yards and a score while EJ Humphrey has 14 carries for 91 yards and a touchdown.

One of the biggest threats on offense is receiver Doug Washington who already has 18 receptions for 295 yards this season, accounting for 48% of the teams' receiving yards.
