2023 National Signing Day | Oilers Ink 49
Findlay, Ohio – The University of Findlay football team grew on Wednesday, Feb. 1, National Signing Day, as athletes put pen to paper, officially committing themselves to be a part of the future of Oilers football. It is the first recruiting class to come to Findlay with Kory Allen as the head coach.
The 2023 class is made up of 49 players representing the states of Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, and North Carolina. Findlay's defense added 24 players to their roster as the signees included nine defensive backs, six defensive lineman, six linebackers, and three safeties. On offense, the Oilers added 22 players including ten offensive lineman, six wide receivers, three running backs, two quarterbacks, and a tight end. Three kickers also signed with the Orange and Black, rounding out Wednesday's class.

"It was a banner year for the Findlay Oilers, an unbelievable class put together. And the class itself- its a well rounded class, it is a class that fits exactly what we were looking for, I think we meant needs at all positions, as far as the right type of character kids, the right type of athleticism. There are guys in this class that are going to come in and challenge right away for playing time. There are guys that are going to come in and develop.
This is a class that has depth and it has some extraordinary athletes. We were able to take a couple guys at the midyear as well that filled some holes that we felt that we had on our roster and those guys have been on campus doing an unbelievable job as well. Again, all in all its been a great day for Oiler Nation specifically for the Oiler Football Program. We are excited to get back to work with our team here on campus and to get these guys here this fall to start going after what will be a successful 2023 campaign."
