2023 Football Schedule Announced
Findlay, Ohio - The University of Findlay football program has announced its' schedule for the 2023 season on Monday, March 13. The Oilers are coming off of a season in which the team went 7-4 overall and 6-2 in Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play, tying for second in the final league standings.
The 2023 campaign will begin with a home contest on Saturday, September 2 against Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) opponent, Truman State, which went 9-2 last year and ended the season with a one-point victory in the America's Crossroads Bowl against Tiffin.
Findlay will then hit the road for three consecutive weeks, beginning with a trip to New York, New York for a date with the Northeast-10's (NE10) Pace University Setters on September 9, the first-ever meeting between the two schools on the gridiron. Trips to Lake Erie College (Sep. 16) and Hillsdale College (Sep. 23) round out that road stretch.
A home game against Kentucky Wesleyan on September 30 will serve as the Oilers' homecoming game before the team gets back on the road for a date with Northwood University on October 7.
On October 14, the Oilers will welcome in G-MAC newcomer Thomas More University to Donnell Stadium before traveling to Walsh the following week, October 21.
The final stretch of the season is sure to bring drama as the Oilers have one of the toughest three-weeks of any in the G-MAC. Findlay hosts Ohio Dominican on October 28 before going on the road to battle with the reigning conference champion, the Ashland Eagles, on November 4. The 2023 regular season will conclude with the always-important game against Tiffin University. That game will be November 11 in Findlay and is sure to have plenty of conference and postseason implications.
