Bio

Morgan Loyd is entering his second season with the Oilers football program in the 2022 season and will serve as the team's linebackers coach and recruiting coordinator.

In his first season with the Oilers, Loyd coached a trio of all-conference linebackers, one of which was named first time all-G-MAC after ranking fourth in the conference in tackles per game.

Loyd came to Findlay after spending three seasons as the linbackers coach and recruiting coordinator at Ohio Northern. While at ONU, Loyd coached a pair of all-conference linebackers, one of which went on to win conference Player of the Year and earn all-American status.

Prior to arriving at Ohio Northern, Loyd spent one season at Dordt University in Iowa where he coaches one all-conference performer.

Loyd is a 2016 graduate of Tiffin University where he was a three-year starter for the Dragons. He was a first team academic all-American and was named honorable mention all-conference twice. He graduated from TU with a bachelor's degree in sport and recreation management and earned his master's degree in sport leadership from Dordt in 2020.

Loyd resides in Findlay with his wife Emily and daughter Gwen.
