Indoor Track and Field Earn 33 All-Conference Spots | Krout / Cummings Earn Major Awards

Great Midwest Indoor Track and Field All-Conference Release

Indianapolis, Ind. – The Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) announced their postseason awards for the indoor track and field season today, March 21. The University of Findlay men's and women's teams, both of which won conference championships in the indoor season, earned 33 all-conference spots including 11 on first team, 17 on second team, and five on third team. Findlay also earned the Men's Field Athlete of the Year, won by sophomore Eliot Cummings, as well as both Coach of the Year awards, won by head coach Jared Krout.

Krout was selected as the top coach in the conference on both the men's and the women's side, earning both awards during the indoor season for the second consecutive year. This season, Krout led both his teams to conference championships, making it back-to-back indoor championship sweeps for the Oilers.

Sophomore Eliot Cummings earned G-MAC Indoor Field Athlete of the Year as he went on to a historic season in the Orange and Black. Cummings, the 2023 G-MAC Indoor Champion in the triple jump and runner-up in long jump, went on to earn first team all-American in the triple jump, finishing third at the NCAA Division II National Championship meet. At the national championship meet, Cummings broke Findlay's program record in the triple jump, reaching a distance of 7.48m (24'06.5").
